The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has launched a new system that offers automatic degree recognition to graduates from 34 universities across the country, making the process faster and fully digital.
Under the initiative, students graduating from participating institutions will receive immediate official recognition of their degrees. There will be no need for manual applications, document submissions, or long verification timelines.
Officials said the move is part of a broader effort to reduce bureaucracy, improve digital government services, and align higher education with labor market needs. Since the launch, more than 25,000 graduates have already benefited from the simplified process.
The ministry confirmed that the system will later be expanded to include Emirati students studying abroad under government-approved scholarships, ensuring equal access to automatic recognition.
The platform uses a secure QR-code-based verification system, allowing employers and government departments to instantly confirm academic credentials. This helps graduates meet employment, residency, visa, and postgraduate admission requirements without delays.
Previously, degree recognition involved physical paperwork and manual approvals. Authorities described the new system as a key step in the UAE’s digital transformation strategy, aimed at building an efficient, technology-driven education framework.
